Marten Visser is the founder of GlobalRize and currently the director of GlobalRize International. In 2011 Marten started with the Twitter account @Biblword, tweeting through the Bible one chapter at a time. After he started to post the tweets on the Facebook page the number of people reached exploded. Within a few years, Biblword had an organic reach of over 50 million people a month.

In 2014 he founded GlobalRize as an organisation to not just share the gospel online, but also to engage in personal conversations with seekers through chat and online Bible courses. Before founding GlobalRize, Marten was a church planter in Thailand for 15 years, and before that he founded a mission among asylum seekers in the Netherlands. He holds a Ph.D. in missiology, and is an ordained minister in the Protestant Church in the Netherlands.
