More than €42,700 raised at benefit event
A delightful dinner, inspiring testimonies, and a moving offering made the November 6 benefit event at De Koningshof in Urk truly worthwhile. Over the course of the evening, the 104 attendees donated more than €42,700!
The program centered on testimonies from people—primarily from Muslim-majority countries—who discovered the Christian faith through a GlobalRize advertisement. Through short film clips, the stories of former Muslims from Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan were shared. The room fell silent when attendees heard the account of two Afghan men who came to know Jesus through the Afghan GlobalRize Facebook page. For their spiritual growth, they depend entirely on contact with the page administrators, as there are no churches in Afghanistan.
Advertising plays a central role in our online ministry as we seek to reach people with the Gospel. The evening’s proceeds will therefore go directly toward advertising. In 2024, GlobalRize spent €110,000 on social media ads inviting people to enroll in an online Bible course. Reaching the unreached—such as Muslims—with these ads requires significantly more effort and expense than reaching those who already have an interest in the Christian faith.
