New Chairman of GlobalRize Netherlands: Bouwe Sprey
GlobalRize Netherlands has a new chairman. As of June 1, Bouwe Sprey takes over the chairmanship from Marco Vermin. With his appointment, a new phase begins for the organization that reaches people online worldwide with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bouwe Sprey is a chartered accountant. Drawing on his experience as an entrepreneur and his involvement with Open Doors, he brings broad experience and a strong commitment to mission and evangelism to GlobalRize. The board believes that, with this unique combination of business and missionary expertise, he is the right person to lead GlobalRize in the intended professionalization and further growth of the organization.
Bouwe speaks with appreciation about what has been built up over the past few years. “A professional organization has been established through a great deal of pioneering work,” he says. He is particularly drawn to the combination of missionary and innovative work. “The execution is in the hands of highly committed employees who are driven to spread the gospel.”
In addition, he emphasizes the important role of the approximately one thousand volunteers involved in GlobalRize’s work worldwide. According to Bouwe, the core values of missionary, innovative, and dedicated are precisely what characterize the organization.
Outgoing chairman Marco Vermin also looks back with gratitude on the development of GlobalRize. When he became involved twelve years ago, the work started with a small message from Thailand. Since then, GlobalRize has grown into a globally operating organization that reaches the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“That is actually Isaiah 55:10-11. It has truly become a reality,” says Vermin.
