In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), GlobalRize, located at Centrumplein 2, 8084 AZ in ‘t Harde, the Netherlands, is responsible for the processing of personal data as listed in this privacy statement.
We treat the information we store and use about you with care and in accordance with the applicable legislation. In this privacy statement we explain how and for what purpose we collect and process personal data and how we protect your privacy.
This privacy statement applies to the processing of:
- personal information provided by sponsors, donors, ambassadors and relations;
- data obtained as a result of visiting and using our websites and;
- data obtained as a result of participation in events organized by GlobalRize or other fundraising activities.
Personal data that we process
GlobalRize records the personal data of anyone who is connected with or wants to be involved in the work of our foundation in any way. This may be because you support our foundation financially but also if you have asked to receive our newsletter, volunteer with us or visit an event organized by us. We process the following personal data: first name and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, gender, date of birth, IBAN number, other personal details that you yourself have provided, for example by filling out an application form or a form for recurring donations.
Special and / or sensitive personal data that we process
With our websites and products / services we do not intend to collect data on website visitors who are younger than 16 years unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we have no means to check if a visitor is older than 16. We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data on children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us via [email protected] so that we can take appropriate action and delete this information.
In some cases we process special personal data, namely:
- Citizen Service Number (BSN, only applicable in the Netherlands) when registering a recurring donation agreement, as we need this information to be able to execute the agreement.
- The denomination of individuals who complete our application form for a vacancy/vacancies; we do this as part of a legitimate interest in connection with the Christian identity of our foundation.
Purpose and basis on which we process personal data
GlobalRize processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Sending our newsletter
- Collecting and registering donations
- Handling applications
- Providing information about our work
- Relationship management
We process personal data on the basis of the following principles:
- Permission from the user
- Execution of an agreement
- Justified interests
The work of GlobalRize is made possible by donations (from, among others, private individuals, churches and companies), contributions from investors, income from events and the efforts of many volunteers. Newsletters, events and campaigns are used to encourage as many people as possible to commit their talent, network, time and financial support to our mission. This is a prerequisite for the continuation of our organization. For that reason it is of great importance to us to be able to communicate with our relations in a targeted manner by mail, e-mail or telephone. We use the personal data stored by us for the purpose of relationship management and fundraising.
Length of storage period with regard to personal data
GlobalRize does not store your personal data any longer than necessary for the purposes for which your data was collected.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Your data will only be used by or on our behalf. We may engage third parties to provide services for GlobalRize. These parties are only allowed to use the personal data provided by us to execute the agreed services for GlobalRize.
This is done on the basis of a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.
If you have provided us with an e-mail address and have not indicated that you do not wish to receive correspondence from us, you will receive a newsletter on a regular basis to keep you informed of our work and our activities. GlobalRize uses the MailerLite program to manage subscriptions and send newsletters. MailerLite is an external supplier that processes your data using standard techniques that help us monitor and optimize our newsletters. Underneath each newsletter you will find a link with which you can unsubscribe.
Website / Cookies, or similar techniques used by us
GlobalRize uses technical and functional cookies that are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your convenience. They ensure that the website functions properly and that, for example, your preferred settings are stored. Our websites also store anonymous visitor data to further develop and optimize the layout of the websites. We use Google Analytics and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. You can opt out of cookie storage by changing the settings of your internet browser. In addition, you can delete all previously saved information via the settings of your browser.
In addition, we use personal data for retargeting on Facebook, via Facebook Pixel. We do this in order to be able to offer you relevant advertisements from GlobalRize on Facebook. If you do not want to be part of an advertisement tool, you are welcome to inform us as such via [email protected].
Viewing, changing and or deleting data
You have the right to view, change and or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing, or to object to the processing by GlobalRize. Furthermore you are entitled to data portability.
Please submit a request by e-mail via [email protected]. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks at the latest.
GlobalRize has taken technical and organizational precautions to protect personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. In this way we ensure that personal data can only be accessed by employees and volunteers who are authorized to do so by virtue of their function, and that we only use the personal data for the purposes for which they were obtained.
